Sleek Makeup Haul and Swatches

I placed an order from sleek makeup two weeks ago, it was an impulse purchase because I felt like I needed to own these babies! Hahaha anyway, the shipping took about two weeks, which is understandable because Australia is pretty far away from the UK. Their shipping prices are pretty reasonable too! Overall I am pretty satisfied with their shipping fees and delivery period. Okay, lets keep the introduction short and jump straight into the products and swatches! WEEE =D

Sleek i-divine Oh So Special Palette

The shimmery colors are very pigmented and smooth! I am very impressed! However, you need to be careful not to load too much on the brush, because there is some fall out, just make sure to tap off the excess pigments before applying onto your lids =) I love how they included matte beige, dark brown and black colors! The pigmentation of the matte colors are not the best in the market, but they are considerably well pigmented! My personal favorite is the first color from right on the top row. It is a really pretty dark burgundy color (Y). 9 out of 10! A mark deducted because the matte shades are a little bit chalky.

Sleek i-divine palette in Original

This is actually my second original sleek palette, i had one and I swapped it away in MUA, and I miss it. Therefore I made another purchase. Man I've forgotten how gorgeous this palette is. They are all shimmery colors except for the black matte color. Apparently, sleek includes a matte black shade in every eyeshadow palette, which is very good, I wish they would include a matte beige color in all palettes too. Oh well, this point is insufficient to be one the cons of this product.

Okay back to the product, this is a fun palette! I don't usually wear colorful eyeshadow, but I enjoy lining my lower lash line with fun colors! Look at the olive green at the right hand side of the bottom row! Gorgeous!!! 10 out of 10 =D

Face Form Contouring and Blush Palette in Fair

I have been dying to get my hands on this palette! The contour shade is a standard matte light brown color, the highlight shade reminds me of the pinkier version of theBalm's Mary-loumanizer, the blush is the infamous Rose Gold blush! As you can see from the picture, there is a pretty strong golden hue to it, it does reminds me of NARS' orgasm, however, the gold sheen in NARS orgasm blush is more subtle. Nevertheless, I love them both! I love how compact the product is, definitely a plus (Y)! Definitely a 10 out of 10!

Sleek Blush Aqua Collection - Mirrored Pink (LE)

It is a pinky blush with silver sheen, so pretty! This reminds me about BeneFit's Bella BamBa! This is cooler in my opinion. Although it leans towards the cooler side, it still looks pretty good on my yellow Asian skin! I give this 10 out of 10!

Sleek Molten Metal Metallic Eyeshadow Duo

Left: Pewter    Right: Gold Leaf

Both shades are pretty similar on the lids. However they are still distinguishable, pewter is cooler and somehow the application is more even than gold leaf, or maybe its just me =p I tried applying both of them on each lids, layered with a gold eyeshadow, they turned out pretty much the same! These would make a really good base for a gold smokey eye look! However, I couldn't comment much on the lasting power since I haven't really tested them. I would give this product 8 out of 10.

Last but not least, the Pout Polish in Bare Minimum! The pigmentation is quite poor on me, my lips are pretty pigmented and sensitive, therefore I don't tend to use lip product. To my surprise, this product does not dry my lips out! It does cover a little bit, and provides a glossy look. Overall I give this 8 out of 10 =)

In conclusion, I am very happy with my purchases! Will definitely purchase more from sleek makeup! (Y)

Products I have used up

I remember how I started project 20 pans last year. Basically, I cannot buy any new cosmetics or skincare before using up 20 products. I kinda succeed, kinda not at the same time. I managed to finish more than 20 (I obviously didn't keep all the empty bottles) but I didn't manage to NOT buy anything during the challenge period.

oh well! It's like drug addiction, it takes time to quit. I think I did pretty well withstanding the temptation throughout the second semester (although I did a spontaneous purchase online, i had my own reason).

My addiction, however, has been massively reduced, couldn't believe that I actually managed to do that. I thought there was no turning back (hahahaha kua zheong =.=). I took pictures of my collection, and I look at them whenever I have the urge to buy something, it never failed to disgust me. Trust me, its really disgusting, to look at how ridiculously huge my make up collection is.

So here are the empty bottles!!

From left:
1. Skin peptoxyl eye cream (30ml)
My all time favorite! This is my third tube, and the fourth one is on it's way! Two more backups! You can tell how much I love it already. It takes a lot of trials and errors to find the perfect eye cream for me. This, might not necessary to be my ultimate HG eye cream, however, it does its job perfectly, it works very well with pretty much any concealers I have. I don't know whether it helped lightens my dark circles or not because I don't really pay attention to them. Concealer is probably to greatest cosmetic invented XD

I remember I came across an article that says we don't need a separate moisturiser for the eye area, hmmm, that really depends on individual preference, psychological matter and cha-ching $$ matter.

Availability:
You can get it here. I know it would be a splurge, but mind you, its 30ml instead of the usual 15ml.

Would I repurchase:
YES! Definitely! but not in the near future, because I already have backups that I picked up during a sale =D

2. Laneige Hydra Solution Essence (40ml)
Oh everyone loves Laneige! A high-end Korean cosmetics company, whom I believe, is under Amore Pacific company, who also owns some of my favorite brands such as Etude House, Innisfree, SulWhaSoo and more!! This particular essence, works reasonably well, it does what it claims, and nothing more. I like the faint floral scent. Its really soothing.

Availability:
You can get it here. Obviously I didn't pay that much, I paid around $30AUD from a korean website.

Would I repurchase:
Maybe? I am still open in trying new stuff!

3. Dr. G Hydra Intensive Cream (50ml)
Bought this on a whim after a friend of mine raved about it. In my opinion, this is an average cream. I remember Silicone was one of the ingredient (don't quote me on that). I don't know whether this cream broke me out or not, my skin is pretty sensitive, I can have few break outs on everything I try, not to an extent of a huge pimple, but yea, few bumps I should say.

Availability:
I bought is from Sasa. But this item is not on the list at the moment.

Would I repurchase:
No.

4. Laneige Hydra Solution Cream (50ml)
Just like the Dr G cream, it is an average moisturiser, I prefer this over Dr. G, because this feels more hydrating. Well, nothing really special about this cream, I love the smell of this though!

Availability:
You can get it here

Would I repurchase:
Not really.

5. Laneige Hydra Solution Activator (30ml)
This is something that you put on before everything else, even toner. It helps the consequent products that you are gonna put on to absorb better. Honestly, I do think that it actually worked! With no exception, this smells just like the other products from this line.

Availability:
You can get it here.

Would I repurchase:
Yes. But I want to try other first essence first ;)

6. Naruko Raw Job Tears Night Eye Jelly
One of the oh-so-famous Naruko night jellies, I like it. I first thought that this might be too moisturising for my eye area, was worried that it would cause oilseeds to grow, and to my surprise, it didn't! I am not sure about its whitening effect though, I have a bad routine, always burning midnight oil. So yeah! Can't really tell! Love the smell though!

Availability:
You can get it here

Would I repurchase:
Yes. I might repurchase the Rose version first, can't decide between these two.

7. Naruko Raw Job Tears Night Jelly
Okay, I cheated, I didn't actually finish this jar of night jelly. I used the whole line together, including the toner, lotion and serum. I didn't see much difference. I might try this line again in the future since it gets such high raves among the beauty community.

Availability:
You can get it here

Would I repurchase:
Yes. But not in the near future.

8. Dr. G Hydra Intense Essence (30ml)
Used this during winter time back in July, it did a pretty good job. No dry patches on my face, makeup went on really well. Good one!

Availability:
You can get it here

Would I repurchase:
Yes. But only when it goes on sale! I bought it for about ~$25

9. Suisse  Programme Recovery Eye Essence (15ml)
What an expensive eye essence! Of course I didn't pay full price for this "okay" product. It bugs me when high end brand skincare/cosmetics don't do what they claim! People splurge on your product, you better deliver what you claim! I don't have much to say about this product, it absorbs easily but it is not moisturising enough for the eye area, I still put eye cream over this.

Availability:
You can get it here

Would I repurchase:
A BIG NO

10. Mizon Real Soybean Deep Cleansing Oil (200ml)
I hate this! It is really thick and it doesn't emulsify well! It broke me out quite badly! I used it for removing any swatches on my hand! Glad that I finally finished the whole bottle! Luckily it didn't cost me much penny, bought it with my friend when they had BOGO free!

Availability:
You can get it here

Would I repurchase:
Another BIG NO!

11. Bioderma Sensibio Cleansing Water (500ml)
I love this stuff to death! It removes makeup really well! Its really gentle and most importantly, it didn't break me out! I still use a separate eye makeup remover though! But on days with light makeup on, this is perfect!!

Availability:
You can get it here

Would I repurchase:
BIG BIG YES!!!
